Bacula: Advanced Backup and Recovery of Clustered Proxmox

With Differential and Incremental Backup

Bacula Enterprise covers more types of virtual environments than any other  backup and recovery provider. That includes Proxmox Clusters, via its native, highly scalable, automated backup and recovery architecture. You can protect as much data as you like, with no added costs from Bacula. All with one single, modern, highly automated platform.

Bacula’s fully integrated solution backs up and recovers data from Proxmox environments, including its two virtualization technologies: Kernel-based Virtual Machine (QEMU/KVM) and container-based virtualization with Linux Containers (LXC). Just some of its features are:

•    Scan Proxmox clusters to automate Bacula config for each virtual machine
•    Snapshot-based online backup of any Proxmox VM, including QEMU, LXC
•    Full image-level Proxmox backup
•    Restore VM image to original or alternate Proxmox hypervisor
•    Restore QEMU VM archive (.vma) to an alternate directory
•    Restore LXC VM archive and configuration to alternate directory

Bacula also provides native, high performance backup and recovery for VMware, RHV, Hyper-V, KVM and Xen – and so much more. Stop paying too much to expensive vendors that give poor support. Start talking to a company that actually cares about you. If you need a backup and recovery company that prepares you for tomorrow, it’s time to get in touch with us.

Zabbix: Authorized to be a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA)

After completing several stages to strengthen security procedures, Zabbix proudly announces that it has joined the CVE Program to assign CVE IDs to vulnerabilities affecting Zabbix products and projects.

The CVE program is the de facto international standard for identifying and naming cyber security vulnerabilities. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) Program’s primary purpose is to uniquely identify vulnerabilities and to associate specific versions of code bases (e.g., software and shared libraries) to those vulnerabilities – as stated on CVE Program website.

CVE Numbering Authorities (CNAs) are organizations from around the world that are authorized to assign CVE IDs to vulnerabilities affecting products within their distinct, agreed-upon scope, for inclusion in first-time public announcements of new vulnerabilities. These CVE IDs are provided to researchers, vulnerability disclosers, and information technology vendors.

Zabbix as an information technology vendor providing network infrastructure monitoring software has become a CNA for information-security vulnerabilities for Zabbix only.

Bacula: Take Control of Your Cloud Data Backup Strategy

Bacula Enterprise has just extended its native cloud integration to Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud, complementing its S3, S3IA and Azure interfaces. Users have a complete, advanced backup and recovery strategy that covers their entire physical, virtual and Cloud environments. All from one single platform.

Bacula’s approach to the Cloud is smarter than its competitors, with the ability to manage network bandwidth when moving data into the cloud, and concurrent asynchronous upload and download of backup data to and from the Cloud. It gives multiple bucket support in a single storage daemon, and configuration of each bucket to suit the user’s personal needs.

But perhaps the most important thing to know is that Bacula does not charge by data volume. So instead of being held to ransom by your current backup vendor, why not discover why so many datacenters are suddenly switching to Bacula? Get in touch with us now, or take a look at the free trial!
